Feb 09, 2012·The inspector discovered that staples (1-3/4" x 16 ga.) were being used instead of 8d nails on residential roof sheathing. They are at same spacing specified for the nails i.e. 6:12" o. Trusses are spaced at 24". I can't anywhere in IRC Code that recommends nominal spacing for staples.
